period skip on mini pill- negative preg test

I am currently b/f my ds who is almost 7 months old. I started to get my regular (light) period when ds was around 5 weeks of age. I religiously take the mini pill at the same time everyday (I have an alarm set just in case i'm busy with ds at the time lol), however I did not get my period last month (january).

I took two pregnancy tests both came up negative. I asked my Dr who said he knows of women on the mini pill to skip a period every now and then. Has anyone had this before?????

I think i'll take another pregnancy test just to be sure.

Has anyone skipped a period whilst on the mini pill before??

I haven't but if you look at the brochure that comes with it you will see that some women do skip periods while on it & some stop having them altogether.
