There was a thread on slow cookers, but I can't find it, and seeing that quite a few hubbers have them I thought we could have a discussion thread.

I use mine at least twice a week - Mondays - hell night in our house as DS has ballet and drama and MOTH has SES, and Wednesday Nights, DS has Jax & Tap and I work late.

Last Monday I did Corn Beef (absolutely scrummy!!!) and Wednesday night did Curry Snags, tonight we're having Chicken Pieces in tomatoe sauce

Let's share a few recipies and ideas

I have a drooling recipie for Peach Oats too

I use it loads in witer.

Our tomato plant is producing so many tomatoes for me to keep up with so the other night I made a chicken/tomato dish.

I put in diced chicken, celery, zucchini, carrots, onion, capsicum and some of my homegrown tomatoes with hicken stock and tomasto paste...it was YUM!

Served with mashed potatoes. I also thought of serving it with rice...maybe next time :D

When I make a hot pot (stew) I put in the diced beef, sliced carrots, diced potato and the hot pot mix with water. Serve with rice.

I also do Indian...put in the diced chicken or lamb and throw in the butter chicken, korma, rogan josh ect mix (jar..cheat here :D ). Served with bassamti rice.

All my roasts are simply put in as they are and come out yummmo.
Served with oven roast vegies
Othertimes it's roast meat on dinner rolls heated up and gravey.

Silverside covered with cold water, add a tble spoon of brown sugar, garlic and onion.
Served with boiled vegies.
