I just joined. I am in eastern side of Melbourne. I am fairly new to Melbourne and finding it very isolating being here. I have tried a few playgroups but found alot of members know each other since from birth and are very clicky so to speak so gave up there.

So I am hoping to find some adult company soon before I go insane!!

I too am out East (Ringwood to be precise), I am finishing up work soon to have first bub- due 21/10. I'm 32, Scottish and am not really looking forward to joining a mothers group as I feel I'll probably be treated as an outsider- probably many of them already have much in common- or that's how I perceive it anyway :rolleyes: . Hi & welcome

We moved house when ds was 3 months and I just never got around to joining a mums group (bit hard while going through the hell of renovating) and it does seem a bit hard now that time has gone by.

However, if you want to join us next wednesday you're welcome. We've only met once, so we're all newies. Hopefully there'll be lots of new faces this time too.

Thanks heaps guys what date is the meet?? Tues arvos sam has a toddler kinder session for an hour and wed mornings he has swimming lesson at 1030 for half hour.

But if its another day I will most definately come, would be great to have coffee and chats with some other adults.

I have two sons - Liam 2 1/2 and Ronan 11 weeks. I live in Ringwood North and am currently on Maternity leave until mid-late November.

I note there is a group that currently meets at Chaddy, but I think that is a bit far for me to go for coffee on a regualr basis. There is a good play centre in Forrest Hill chase called Ambers, that I was introduced to by another mother who uses this site. Perhaps you would be interested in meeting there? This might be a good location for another group meet??

Hi.
Another 32y.o here (well for an 1 more month anyway :) )
We've also tried a couple of playgroups but I didn't "click" with anyone there unfortunately.
We would love to meet up with other people for coffee.
Von- A meet at Ambers is a great idea as it is only 15 mins drive for us!
