Ok.. went for my pram test drive.
I was certain I wanted a 4 wheel with a bassinet so toadlet can sleep in it and I wont have to wake "it" up if I need to go out.
But, sales girl said babies shouldn;t sleep in bassinets at night .
So tested a few prams.
Bugaboo.. didn't like the shape of the handle.. was uncomfortable to hold. Steeering not fantastic.
Valco (Trimide). Was pleasantly surprised. Liked the steering. Easy to put up.
Quinny Buzz.. Was ok, again the front wheel wasn't super smooth for steering. Comparable to the Valco.
Urban Mountain buggy. Reallly loved this, nice round handle, better for gripping.
Don't like the wheel sticking out at ther front so you can lock it back but it doesn't steer quite as well.
Also tried the space age looking pram, with very high up seat.. Stotte? Can;t remember tha name. For the price (around $1200) it appeared very plasticky. Felt cheap and the handle was odd and uncomfortable.
Still want to try the infinity Esprit Childcare.
 We have an Emmaljunga Crossway, I think it is.
It doesn't have a bassinet. You can buy them to go on but Hugh sleeps in the pram as it is. He slept all night in it to start with but now he's in his cot just during the day. It's great. Yesterday we took it to our neighbours so their daughter could take him for a walk in the arvo and he slept in it after dinner.
It also has great suspension which we love for trying to settle him, bouncing it, it works very well.
It has the solid tyres too so no flatties!
The seat/lay back part can be turned around so later he can look out.
The handle is adjustable to a few positions.
It has a fly net built in to the sun shade.
Do I sound like I'm totally in love with it? I am!
Good luck finding something that you like!

:smiliedance: Infinity rocks! but you already know how I feel.....
ohh and you don't have to take the wheels off to fit it into a small car (I drive an astra hatch and it fits perfectly)
did I mention I love it?:ecomcity:

We had a pram with a bassinet attachment and used that as DS's bed for the first 3 months - so if you want a bassinet then go for it. I ended up hating the pram and sold it, but I did really love having the bassinet on the pram as if he was hard to settle (which was often) I could just wheel it out of his room and wheel it over the join in the carpet/lino and he'd go off to sleep.
This time around I'm not going to get a bassinet option type pram because we'll need it for both the kidlets, but I am going to get a bassinet on wheels so that I can move it around the house once again if needed.
Well done on being so patient and test driving all of the ones you're interested in. I just jumped straight in on the first recommendation and ended up paying a fortune for a pram that I hated.
We have a bassinette(dont know why they shouldnt be used) no one told us any different and we only got it not long ago, plus then got an Emmaljunga with Bassinette attachment and Blake loved it,plus he was out of the wind and sun etc. However he is a sticky beak so we still use the bassinette inside but the pram has the normal seat not as he would get bored not being able to see anything in the pram. We changed it over when he was 10 weeks,he does still comfortably fit in it though. We didnt pay any extra for the bassinette on ours but if we had to i probably wouldnt have bothered.
As with Kazza, love the suspension and the weight. Thought having fixed wheels would be a problem but it is soo light weight and easy to steer.
I love it too.
Still want to try the infinity Esprit Childcare.
I LOVE MY INFINITY STROLLER! :smiliedance: It is the best so easy to push its like a dream! I have also just bought the steelcraft down town stroller and seriously i cant speak highly enough of it. It pushes like a dream can come with a bassinette and only weight 8kgs!
Have you tried Phil & Ted's, it's fantastic!
