ok, It's saturday morning 7.45am and I've been up since 4! Not just with my baby but my big girl too. She has really swollen tonsils and is on the waiting list to get them out along with her adnoids. She wakes constantly during the night cos she stops breathing and when she takes a big breath it wakes her up. Baby was awake on and off from 4 too. It's just a nightmare! Why do the hosp[itals take so flipping long?!?!?!?!?

DH has gone to work this morning, he left at 6. I have to start work at 5 this afternoon and probably won't get home before 2am! I do0n't know how I'm gonna get through the day! Emily usually has a nap in the afternoons but Kailah is usually awake and feeding then or whatever. I am so tired my eyelids feel like sand paperr. I am shaking too. Does anyone have ANY suggestions for me??? I just need my big girl to sleep and we will all be happy! I know it will be better when she has the operation but I need help NOW! I can't take much more! She has been waking at least 6 times a night for 4 months!

TIA

:hugs: poor thing :(

Can you try putting a DVD/Video on for the girls and laying on the bed/couch with them while they watch it ... and then you can nod off, and perhaps they will too ??

Lack of sleep sucks big time - I too have been wandering the hallways since 4.00 - I've got two girls here with pneumonia and we've got fevers and shocking coughs. So that's my plan - housework this morning and onto the couch for everyone this afternoon to watch Nanny McPhee and I'm going to have a nap :)

:hugs::hugs: Kris tell your DR to get Emily fast-tracked you can't wait any longer, tell them how much it's stressing you, Public hospys are very busy but they can always get an emergency in, just push and hassle them!!! it's a 45 min operation, which by the way isn't long just tell them you need it done now!!

:hugs: Aw, poor Kris (and Emmy!) :hugs:

I agree with M&P - the squeeky wheel gets the oil - just hassle them and hassle them until its easier for them to give you what you need then to continue to ignore you!

As for what you can do it the short term - is there a friend or family member who could take the girls for a couple of hours before you have to go to work so you can have a nanna nap? Could they maybe do it one or two days a week even? If not a friend or fam member - a paid babysitter maybe?

Good luck, I hope you get some sleep soon!

:hugs: Hope you are getting some sleep now :hugs:

Have you tried taking Emily to the hospi emergency room? Take her when she is really bad and hassle them til they take her and do them that day. Surely the fact that she struggles to breath would make them hurry up and do it.
As for the shaking...make sure even tho you are tired that you are eating well. I know last week when I was not sleeping much I would get really shakey if I didn't eat properly, and don't forget the water too.

:hugs: Hope you and Emily are feeling better soon :)
