I am a full time mum to William who is 1 year old.
I am married to Jim and we are living in Sydney. I would really like to make a few friends here, and stop feeling homesick

Hi and welcome to the hub and Australia! I am also originally from UK and have been in 'Oz since 1993, I live in Melbourne.
It will take you a while to get over the homesick feeling, but trust me it is so worth it in the long run, Australia is such a great place to live!!
I'm sure you will soon make friends with other mum's in your area (play groups etc) and of course from this forum.
