Hi,
We recently moved to the Gold Coast. I enrolled my son in daycare before Xmas. Now school's gone back the numbers have vastly dropped at daycare.
A lot of the other mums said they only enrolled there because they couldn't find anywhere else and they have stayed on other waiting lists. The centre is quite expensive and I have to provide nappies and food.
Has anyone had a good experience with a centre in the Labrador area?

*bump*
we're looking for a new daycare centre again
my DS is still going to the same centre but we've had 2 fairly serious incidents (biting & nappy changing) that make me think its time to go elsewhere.
Has anyone had a good experience with a centre on the northern end of the Gold Coast?
Heya-are you still in Labrador?
My son goes to Harbourtown Kindyland,Oxley drive. Its a fantastic centre,he has been there 3 years and I have never had a prob.We do/did have to provide nappies and food, which is pretty common, and I dont have a prob with it.Fees have just gone up,its now $62 a day(but less if you get CCB)
Also my neighbour has her son at the kindy down Olsen Ave,by the touch fields and they sound great too,and provide all meals

Thanks for that- we are still at Labrador and will give them a try.
I've been on a waiting list at Olsen Ave for 12 months and am still waiting.
I've had 2 incidents in 6 months where we are. I got suspicious at the start of the year when there were practically no enrolments- all the good places are always full. One day my son came home with dried poo in his nappy & a bad rash. He had the runs and they didn't notice. Then on Thursday the same child bit him 3 times and drew blood twice. The staff only witnessed one of the biting incidents and didn't know that he was bleeding. Makes me wonder just how well DS is being cared for.
