And the year is 2010 ....but which way to do you say it?

Have you adopted the 'twenty ten' approach, or do you prefer to say 'two thousand and ten'?

My DP had decided he was going to go down the 'twenty ten' path, but then when he realised it was going to be 'twenty eleven' next year, he declared he didn't like the sound of that so has reverted to saying 'two thousand and ten'.

Which one do you say?

I say 'twenty ten', will say 'twenty eleven' and then 'twenty twelve' and so forth.

I agree that twenty eleven sounds a teeny bit funny, but give it time and it will sound normal. Twenty twelve sounds a bit better.

I miss being able to say "oh nine" for 2009, feels a bit strange saying just "ten" when refering to the current year.
