Changing Car Registration

Hi,

We've just moved from Tassie to QLD and I was wondering if any knows what the process is I have to go through to change registration over on my car and how much it would cost.

You need to go get a safety check, then the green slip and rego are both done through qld transport. This is what I had to do when chenging from nsw to qld in 2008. I think it cost me $700 all up. Definitely wasn't more

In NSW you need to go to the RTA, hand in old plates & re register in NSW.

QLD you need to go to the department of transport & do the same thing. Cancel old rego & re rego.

Not sure how much it would cost sorry.

If you still have rego left on the old states sticker you can apply to get the $$$$ back I am not sure exactly how you go about doing this but apparently it is possible.
