So this morning I had to have an ultrasound as at middie's yesterday she was worried as Im measuring a little small.
Baby is fine and right size just tucked away.
Anyway the lady doing the ultrasound says'Your son is doing just fine"
ARGHHHHHHHHHHH 4 weeks ago was told Im having a girl and was clearly shown the 'hamburger',now another one says a boy and when I asked if she was sure she said yep.
I know they arnt always right its just I am just getting use to the idea of another girl and now my hopes are all raised again.
Ive decided Im just going to wait until the damn baby is born before trying to figure it out.
Im not going to worry about sex and either way Im getting a healthy bubs.(Didnt tell DH about u/s,dont wanna get his hopes up either)
Thats just my rant for today. Thanks for listening

How confusing for you. Do you have a pic I can take a look at? I'm pretty good at them, I could tell from my sisters 13 week ultrasound that her bub was a girl.. (the angle of the nub)

I don't have pics from this u/s yet, they got sent to middie first.Have to wait til I see her on Wednesday. The 20 week u/s girl they only gave me 4 pics and none toilet shots but she did point out the girl pics.
I reckon boys are harder to tell in u/s. I could pick my 2nd little girls girly bits on her u/s from knowing what to look for from my 1st little girl. When I was shown little boy parts for this one it wasn't as definite IMO.

Yep I feel you pain the 20 (22 for me) week one the Guy said a girl he would take a bet on it (but don't go spending $1000's painting everything pink) then the 2nd time round at 30 weeks (DS was a twin so they wanted to have another look to see how he was doing) he thought a boy but hard to tell as he was breech at that point.
Finally at the 36(7) ish mark I had another US as we went to brisbane to have him (in case DH was at sea when I went into labour) and teh US lady said def a boy see here are his testes - she was right - I supose the 1st guys was right too but he hedged his bets:laughing:
How frustrating!!! How many weeks were you at each scan could the first one have been wrong?? Though like you said you wont know 100% until the bubs is born.

well as far as i know.. its a boy if they tell you it is. but with girls theres still a small chance it may not be...

Believe me, boys are usually VERY obvious, well mine was anyway. There was absolutely no mistaking it. But, sometimes it can be hiding behind the umbilical cord or something, in which case they will just say girl if no penis is seen.
how many weeks were you with your ultrasounds? the pre 20 weeks ones are not meant to be very reliable

wow, how odd. i have heard that if you get told that its a boy then the chances are, that its a boy. girls are a little harder to see. there are private 4D ultrasound clinics that do gender determination scans...incase you can't wait.
