has anyone had this happen to them?

was just wondering if anyone has the problem of trying to get a passport for the child and the father does not wish to sign the passport application? what did they do? i am beginning to get confused as to what to do legally.

My mother had that problem with my father when I was small and she had to get solicitors to serve the papers onto him to sign which he still refused and then that was acknowledged and the passport office said we didn't need his signature. Maybe contact the Passport office and see what they have to say?;)
