Hi all, just wanting a bit of advice of opinions from those who might have a bit of knowledge about pregnancy and the pill (i'm currently on monofeme).
About 6 weeks (could be slightly more or less) I missed a tablet one night. My husband and I had sex either that night or the night after (can't remember exactly which but i think it was the night after i missed it). I didn't realise until the next day, but kept taking the tablets as per normal each day from then on.
Now, for the last week, I have been needing to go to the loo a lot more than normal (and I thought it was bad before!) but i mean every hour virtually I could go. My husband and I have also been eating the healthiest we've ever eaten for the last month or so, and in the last week I've noticed i've got a bit of a belly, which I don't know is just because i haven't done exercise (which i haven't done any of for the last 6 months though) or because I may be pregnant.
The thing thats confusing me though is that last Thursday, 5 days ago, i took a red tablet because i hadn't had my period for about 3 months (deliberately) so i thought i should have one. It was very heavy the first day, but there was virtually nothing after 3 days, on the fourth day it was pretty much gone. Nothing at all on the 5th. Which isn't normal for me, its usually quite heavy til at least the 3rd day.
Do you think there's a chance I may be pregnant?
Thankyou!

Hi Bubydoll,

Of course the best way to tell if you are pregnant would be to take a home pregnancy test or visit the Doctor for a blood test. I think it sounds like there is a possibility that you def could be.

Before I discovered I was pregnant I was going to the toilet lots and I found that I had REALLY tender breasts. I also couldnt sleep on my stomach anymore. Though I had a feeling I was pregnant at about 4 weeks. I did a pregnancy test which came up negetive the first time. A couple of weeks later it was positive, pregnancy wasnt confirmed until I was 6 weeks.

Hopefully this has been somewhat helpful... goodluck with everything :)

I fell pregnant the first time on the same pill that you are on. I didn't have any accidents, and went tot the doctor. She thought it was a bowl infection and sent me for tests at the hospital. I didn't go and decided to trust my intuition and buy the test. It was positive, and I now have a great 2 1/2 year old boy!
The second time I fell pregnant, I was on the mini pill, had not had any accidents with it, and was fully breast feeding, and had still not had a period since my first child was born, as he was still only 3 months old. That pregnancy was eptopic, and I found out I was pregnant when the fellopian tube ruptured, so I lost the baby as well as my fellopian tube.
The third time I fell pregnant, I was on a holiday in India. I was on a 'stronger' pill, usung condoms religiously, and still somehow fell pregnant, although I had a miscarriage (not a nice experience in India!).
So I have given up on all contraceptions. The implanon implant made me sick, and I'm actually not really into putting things into my body. So I gave up, let nature take it's course, and I'm now 5 1/2 months pregnant AGAIN!!!
Some think it's not good for my body, but I love my son, I'm ecstatic that I'm having another child, and my doctors all say that my body is perfectly healthy. I guess some things are meant to be, but I have no idea what I'm going to do after this baby's born. Maybe abstinance is the only thing that will work for me right now.

Hi! I too fell pregnant whilst using Monofeme. Mine was partially my fault as I have never been good at remembering to take the pill every day!!!

I was going on a 5 week holiday for our 4 year anniversary, and purposely had a period the week before we left, then continued taking the white tablets for the entire holiday. About a week into the holiday I felt hungry all the time, but when I ate it made me want to throw up, I was extremely tired the whole trip, my breasts were swollen and the veins appeared more noticeable. When we got home, I took a pregnancy test - I was definately pregnant! I calculated about 6 weeks (from that last menstrual cycle) - the ultrasound confirmed at least 10 weeks??? My dd is now 5 months old and beautiful! Even though I have never been more tired in my life, she is the gretest blessing!

Take a pregnancy test or see your doctor!! It is the only way to be sure!!! Best of luck!
