Oh my god, mychild has been possessed. He taken to headbutting things when he can't get his own way or is just cranky(teeth). This could be me, the glass doors, his cot, almost anything. He's got little bruises on his forehead, i'd hate for something to think that it was from something else. Then we have beautiful moments like right now where he can't stop giving me kisses. Has this happened to anyone else and how lond did it last?? I don't think the furniture and whitegoods are made to handle this!!!!

My son is the same. The worst of it passed fairly quickly, a few weeks or so. But he still does the headbutting thing when he is cranky/frustrated....it is getting better, the better he is able to communicate what is wrong.

I am just persisting with putting him down, or walking away, when he headbutts me. I'm tired of worrying about losing teeth or getting a cracked jaw! ouchies...

My son just turned 2 and he still does it.. :banghead: (appropriate smilie)

I have tried almost everything to stop him from doing it but nothing has worked.. at first i though it was bad temper but then i noticed when i put him in his cot he will do it to get himself to sleep

I read somewhere that some kids to it for a comfort fix.. don't know weather to believe it though because i always comfort him.

He is only 17mo, i thought this would happen when he was 2 or so. I forgpt to mention the whole spitting thing. it' disgusting, but he's a champion golly hocker!!! :devil6: the doctor said that at this age they don't have the muscle form or co-ordination to it, but then she saw him in action!! the only thing i can think that may have started that was teeth brushing. I don't say spit out the water anymore, i tell him to rinse, otherwise there would be goobers floating around the bath!!! I love bein a mum!!!!:p

My DD bites the furniture when things don't go her way and she is frustrated. It's usually the lounge that takes the brunt. Or she headbutts things on the odd occassion

Hey guys, I have to join this one, as my little fella has just turned 1:eek: and he too is a head banger. I thought this would happen a little later as well, no such luck. I have read on the other posts about taking out the preservitive 282 from thier diet, i can only see it to be in some breads. Can anyone tell me if it is in any thing else?
