Hi, I am putting my son into a single bed at around 14 moths old. Please no discussions about if i should or not as ive already made up my mind that i am.

Anyways my question is, what theme of bedding did you use for you toddler when re-decorating there room and putting them into a "BIG" bed? (ie. space, elmo, ben10) I want to get a theme but cant think of many so need some help!

TIA

Does your DS show an interest in any shows yet?

When DD was little, she loved Dora, so she got Dora. DS1 was a Wiggles fanatic, so he got a big red car bed, with all wiggles stuff.

Unfortunatey we got rid of everything, as DS2 is now also a wiggles fanatic! He has Wiggles & DS3 has Thomas the tank engine.

DS has a pirate theme My mum made him a really great quilt with a couple of different types of boats some monkeys in palm trees and whales and fishes etc on it and a couple of matching wall panels
Here it is (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=151025&id=593421469&l=3a96723798)

I love it and it will grow with him too so I don't have to keep changing all the stuff as he gets older (well not for a while anyway):yelclap:

He shows interest in elmo, Thomas and hi 5... But was just wondering what everyone else did, wether hey skipped the cartoon characters or not...
Anyone else care to share?

I skipped the character stuff for both my two mainly because I figure I only have a short time to have other stuff before they are demanding character stuff. I am also not a huge fan of the character stuff anyway plus my mum spent ages making the quilts (they are hand quilted) and I love them and they fit on a single bed (well DS's fits and DD's is a bit small but it is as wide as the single jsut a bit short and looks fine on top of bright pink sheets.

My DS has a theme of block primary colours with some trucks. So a blue set of drawers with red and yellow drawers. A red and blue and yellow tepee with his toys in it. A bright yellow sheet set on his bed with 3 pillows. One pillow is red, one yellow and the other one matches his doona cover with is bright blue with trucks all over it.

Adairs kids has some lovely stuff (some of it is quite expensive though) and if you don't want the latest design they often have the older designs on sale. Freckles is another company that has some lovely stuff and Cubby house kids too. Oh and pillow talk has some cool gear too.

My son is 19 months old, still in the cot & I haven't done a theme yet. He's not showing any preference for anything yet & until he does I'll just keep using what I have which is a mix of everything.

My DD will be going into a toddler bed when she is 16 months old & we have started thinking about themes aswell.. Atm we are either thinking In the Night Garden (she loves is sooo much & i saw a cute bedding setting with it the other day) or maybe just fairies
