I am a Tupperware Demonstrator, which I set the hours that I work and work it around the times my hubby is home to look after the kids. It is good fun and a great way to get stuff for yourself.

With the Ebay shop, when you earn under 6k it's classified as a hobby but as soon as you go over the 6k it attracts tax. if you do go over the 6 k you start to claim a few things tho, like your internet connection, bank charges, phone bill etc.. hope this helps you:)

DH and I run our own air-conditioning installation business, he does the installs and I do all the bookings, accounts and paperwork, which only takes me about 1 day a week. So I am pretty lucky that we earn good money for me to be able to stay at home help run a business and look after my demanding 20mth old girl.

Jessika i think it's a great idea. Like i was, you seem to be umming and arghing.. go with you gutt instinct because you don't want to be left with the -what if's-.
I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide :fingerscrossed:

My hubby and I run a photo engraving business which operates from home but we take orders and have our displays in a weekend market.
As far as I know, you don't have to register for GST if you don't earn more than 50K per annum. I'm not quite sure about Ebay though.
Aside from Ebay, you can also have a garage sale of items that you don't really need/use to generate a bit more money. :)
I heard Avon products would be a good sideline as well. :)
Best of luck!

Both DH and I have our own business. He makes braces and mounts for high performance cars and race cars and I have a fruit & veg delivery service. And I work part-time as the first year is always the toughest.

I am an eBay Trading Assistant, and sell other peoples goods on eBay. I also sell alot of secondhand stuff that I buy from Garage Sales, Salvos etc. and of course our own stuff. I run courses on how to set up an eBay business from home or for your small business as well.
My DH runs an aquarium online store, and he aquacultures corals, breeds fish and seahorses, and sells aquarium products. We run this from home so that he can still work at The Zoo.
Working from home has it's pros and cons. I can be at home with my son, but it's also hard to get work done with him on my lap when I'm on an important call. It's also hard to switch off when you're work is at home, and you tend to keep at it until all hours.

Hello
I do Avon and I run my own business. I don't think I can put the name or website on here so PM me if you wanna know what it is.
I don't want to leave my bubba in daycare so this was my best option.
