Hi all, just wanting a bit of advice of opinions from those who might have a bit of knowledge about pregnancy and the pill (i'm on Monofeme).
About 6 weeks (could be slightly more or less) I missed a tablet one night. My husband and I had sex either that night or the night after (can't remember exactly which but i think it was the night after i missed it). I didn't realise until the next day, but kept taking the tablets as per normal each day from then on.
Now, for the last week, I have been needing to go to the loo a lot more than normal (and I thought it was bad before!) but i mean every hour virtually I could go. My husband and I have also been eating the healthiest we've ever eaten for the last month or so, and in the last week I've noticed i've got a bit of a belly, which I don't know is just because i haven't done exercise (which i haven't done any of for the last 6 months though) or because I may be pregnant.
The thing thats confusing me though is that last Thursday, 5 days ago, i took a red tablet because i hadn't had my period for about 3 months (deliberately) so i thought i should have one. It was very heavy the first day, but there was virtually nothing after 3 days, on the fourth day it was pretty much gone. Nothing at all on the 5th. Which isn't normal for me, its usually quite heavy til at least the 3rd day.
Do you think there's a chance I may be pregnant?
Thankyou!

Hi there bubydoll, i dont want to alarm you as im not sure whether you will be happy if you are pregnant or not but i fell pregant on momofeme, i never missed a pill and i had 3 periods b4 i found out i was pregant, my last period was only for one day. It is unlikely that you could be pregnant from missing one pill but then again i fell pregnant and never missed one, and i always took them at the same time as i wasnt ready to become a mother, saying that i have a beautiful 2 year old boy as a result but i would change things for anything. Maybe you should do a home pregnancy test, but i advise you to pay a little more and buy a good one because some dont pick up the hcg level(pregnancy hormone) as good as others. Best of luck, i hope this helps you out a bit. :)

Put yourself out of your misery! Do a home test - clearblue is a good brand. Hope you get the result you want !

Thanks firstbub for your help.
I took a pregnancy test on Friday, i can't remember the brand, i still have the box at home, but it was one that was supposed to show up pregnancy mainly in the early stages. It came up negative. But i have read that they can give a false negative. On the leaflet inside it, it also said that it may not show correct results for gestation periods of 5 weeks or longer, which I think I may be.
The other thing that is still bothering me which the pregnancy test result didn't really help with is that for the last week and a half I have been feeling quite sick in the stomach every day, to the point where one day i was on the verge of being sick and teh rest of the days I just wanted to be just to get rid of the feeling.
The pregnancy test said it gives results for pregnancy as early as 5 days after conception, and I read that some will give a negative result even if you are if you take the test too early. So i thought this would be a good way to go. But now i don't know. How soon do you get morning sickness?
I'm just quite confused. If i'm not pregnant, thats ok, I guess just final confirmation would be good. At the moment, without knowing 100% for sure, i'd have to say i'm a little bit excited at the thought that maybe there's a chance i could be. While my hubby said he'd rather us now have kids right now, he said he'd be over the moon too if he found out i was. I think its just the initial thought thats scaring us a little, but getting over that, and I can't think of anything more exciting.
Anyway, your thoughts and suggestions are very welcome and much appreciated.
I might try and see my doctor today just so they can tell me once and for all. And then if i'm not pregnant, tell me what the heck is going on with my body! :)

Any luck with the test bubydoll???

I was 18 weeks pregnant with my son and still taking my pill every day. It is not recommended but very little research shows ill effects on the baby. He is a brainy normal 3.5 year old now and although I was definately not ready to become mum at the time I found out I wouldn't give him back no matter what. I am now a proud mum of 2 (second a lapse in pill effects also) and another on the way (thanks to the lovely injections)

I hope you get the result you want from the tests but if you are really concerned go to the doctors and ask for a blood test (if not scared of needles) or do the test first wee of the morning as this is the most concentrate in the hormone.

Good luck
