6 weeks have gone and still bleeding

DS2 is 6 weeks old and I had a c-section. My bleeding will die right down to spotting then start up again. But for the last 2 days it has gotten very heavy, that when ever I go to stand or pick up anything or something along those lines I have been getting a gush and have been passing clots. I am going through 1 maternity pad every 2 or so hours. Even after I had him I didn't bleed this much. I have also been having bad cramps too. I think I might see if I can get in to see my dr today.

I would deffo see a doctor!! I too am nearly 6 weeks post c and still bleeding like you it stopped then re started and I have some relaly acute pains in my left side but not clots of heavy bleeds...those are the things I was told to see doc about...hope it stops for us both soon!!:fingerscrossed:

I had ongoing and heavy bleeding to for an extended time period after DD was born (I had her vaginally). It turned out to be retained placenta. it would be a really good idea to go see a doctor as this is maybe what it is for you too. Good luck, I hope things turn out okay.

I know I just have to hope it passes before I loose too much more.

Oh, that's no good. I hope it passes naturally for you. I ended up pushing my ob for a d+c when DD was 18 weeks old because I hadn't stopped bleeding. I hope it goes much more smoothly for you :hugs:
