Period Problem....

My Daughter is 9 months old and im breastfeeding but i got my first period since getting pregnant on the 1st of January..
so my issue is that i still have it (where i used to get in 6 days)
and it is heavy and looks like new blood for a day then thick and brown for two..
this keeps happening sometimes it has even gone away for a day

is this normal??

I would say yes - anything can happen when you are breastfeeding and when your period first returns.

DS is 12 months and really I'm only starting to get back into my normal ... err... what's the word (i don't want to use "flow"!) SCHEDULE!! now!

Mine changed a lot after having DS. It came back much heavier and lasted longer, but with less cramping which was a blessing!
it came back just over a year ago now, and every time I bleed it is less heavy and lasts less time so perhaps that will reassure you!
I assume everyone is different but sounds pretty normal to me :)
