My little boy is 12 weeks old tomorrow, he has never been a great sleeper during the day, usually he has 5-6 45 mins sleeps each day and wakes 2 times a night between 8pm and 7am. During these wake times he is only up feeding for 20 mins. Just this week he has begun waking form each day sleep smiling, happy and giggling, occasionally his eyes will fill with tears and his little mouth will turn down but he tries to fight through it and smiles . As i lift him from his cot and walk toward the bedroom door he becomes hysterical, this can continue for up to half an hour after he wakes unless i BF him. He is not hungry as he feeds before sleep too, he has always coped well with his little naps during the day. This is absolutly breaking my heart to see him upset because he is a very happy little boy and NEVER cries usually.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this ? Is is something that happens at this age ? HELP please...
