Hi,
Tomorrow I am going to start 4 to 6 weeks routine, where I need to start dreamfeeding my baby at 10pm. I have a few questions please:
1. Do you change their nappy as you usually would before each feed?
If yes, mine wakes up when I change her nappy. What should I do?
2. If she is awake at 10pm, do I feed her normally? Unwrap, change nappy and burb every 30mls?
Thanks.
Hi mashacesareo,
I use the same book with my son who is 21 months old, and have done since he was born. Where it says dreamfeed you don't change their nappy because this will wake them up and the dreamfeed is exactly that - a dreamfeed where the baby stays asleep. If bub is awake at 10pm when they are meant to have their dreamfeed just feed as normal and change nappy etc. Thats what we did with our son. Hope that helps.

Thank you pyppih. That helps.
However I found when I started the dreamfeed she started to demand an extra bottle through the night and woken up earlier then she used to. So I've stopped the dreamfeed. I have started the 10.15pm feed and half way through that feed we are doing a dreamfeed...
Can you help me with another question please?
I have now started the 6-8 weeks routine. And the feed before her bed time 6.20pm, so I start the bath at 5.30, I also included a massage into it. We are done by 5.50 and by then she is screaming. Dummie doesn't help, what do i do till 6.20?
Thanks
You can start her bath a bit later or just give her her bottle earlier and then to stretch the time out you could read a book or something - or let her play until bed time. Otherwise just put her straight to bed once done - it's good if you've had a really busy day.
Hope that helps.
