Hi there.
I am hoping someone can help me and stop me from feeling like a hypocondriac (sp?)!!!!
I have this really bad pain in my left bottom ribs right in the middle. It is super sensitive to touch and isn't going away. It is kind of like I have knocked it or bruised it, which of course I haven't.

The other thing that worries/bothers me is that a few days ago, and before the rib soreness, I got this burning sensation in the same spot. It felt like a rash sort of thing developing on my skin, but also felt like it was under my skin if that makes any sense???
I got my DH to look and he says nothing is there but that it did feel hotter when he touched it compared to the right side.

I have NO clue what it could be or if I should get it looked at but it is becoming increasingly uncomfortable?!?!?!

Any clues or hints or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cassi sorry I can't help with your problem but I get the exact same thing. I started a tread "help pain under ribs"
Most people thought it was just the baby growing.
Sometimes it feels like a furry worm wrigling around just below my left ribs??? But it goes away if I stretch away from the pain.
Midwifes haven't been much help (in general) and Google came up stumps so ..............best of luck to both of us! Tell me if you get any clues though!
BTW if the pain is on the right side it could be gall stones.

Thank you for replying....I was starting to feel very unloved!!!!! :gloomy:

Nope I don't get a feeling like that, just burning skin sensation and pain in the ribs. It is all getting very sore and I think it is just the fact this is the biggest my body has had to stretch. I am bigger now than when I gave birth to my first  so I guess it is all new to me.

I too Googled and found a lot about right rib pain, but I figured I must be a freak if it is on the left....lol.

I will ask my midwives and Dr on Friday so if I find anything out I will be sure to let you know.

Good luck and oh I feel your pain!!!!

hey
don't know about the burning sensation, but i have heard that you can get specific sore spots in your uterus, where your bub rubs against that spot over and over and it creates a kind of internal bruise or something.

don't know if that helps at all........
