View Full Version : Phil and teds Dash - reviews??
We went pushchair shopping for our newborn and toddler. I liked the P & T Dash the best(because of brake and folding system). I liked the sports and classic too, but the brake was so stiff. There was no way I could put it up and down without bending down and using my hands. I went to the shop to get sports, but came home with dash instead.
After I came home, i checked reviews on the net. Dash has really bad reviews. Now, I am thinking if I shud return it. Does anyone have it? How do you find it? Please help me decide.

I'm so hoping to see some reviews for this too. We've put a dash on lay-by for our first baby due later this year and I'm curious what others think.
We were initially looking at the sport, but decided on the dash for two reasons. Firstly the brake on the sport was really tough. Secondly the clips were an absolute nightmare for seat adjustment. The brake on the handle of the dash just seemed easier as did the adjusting strap for the seat height.
Hopefully someone can help us out!! :detective:
Hi there, I hope my information helps rather than hinders you. I have the Dash and I would much rather I had the Sport.
1. The brake on the Dash was what appealed to me intially as all my friends had trouble with the Sport brake. However, in newborn/toddler mode, where the moveable seat sits on top, once the brake is on, it is very hard to squeeze a newborn in the gap. When you have are carrying bub and pushing the pram, you can't put the brake on. I also had an issue where I jumped on the escalator, braked the pram and turned around to find my toddler standing bewildered at the top as I had needed two hands to brake. I also had to put the Dash in for repair as I have weak wrists and couldn't use the brake - they had to cut the springs or something or other. I was told in the shop that you can shave off the little rubber piece on the Sport that keeps the footbrake on - makes it a bit smoother.
2. The adjustment at the back of the main Dash seat is the one pull system versus the many of the Sport. I have a very heavy toddler and now have the seat ripped at the corner because all the pressure is centred on that one point rather than supported like in the Sport. I am onto my 6th week waiting for a replacement under warranty. No stress on that as the seat is still functional, but an issue.
Hope that helps a little!
