Hey everyone well i am 9 weeks pregnant with my first and i seem to have become completely obsessed with googling everything i eat.
Like today i cut up a fresh pineapple go to sit down and eat and then i goolge and find that we arent supposed to eat pineapple during pregnancy cause it can cause miscarriage and cause labour to start. So into the fridge it goes uneaten, same with the tabouli.
My husband is getting annoyed with me everytime i do it i was wondering wether anybody else is doing the same.

Mel - I was the same in the beginning, it took us nearly five years to get to this point and I wasn't willing to risk anything and wanted to control everything I could. However I have since learnt that google is not my friend and the best advice comes from mothercare hotlines, and your doctor. I asked my doctor for a list of things I could eat and what to avoid and after that I was a lot calmer. Once you decide what you feel comfortable with eating or not eating, don't let anyone make you uncomfortable, even your DH because it's your body and you'll be the one thinking about it later that night if it went against your instincts.

I figure it's only 9 months of somewhat irrational eating so it's not the end of the world if you pass up a few food options as long as you try and eat a balanced diet.
