All my friends work. I have a couple of sahm friends which I see on Fridays at playgroup and sometimes other days of the week aswell (if they're not busy with swimming lessons or whatever) but apart from that the only adult conversations I have is on the internet and when Grant and I talk on the phone (but they're just brief phone calls cos he has to get back to work). I have met a few ladies from Facebook, we met up every few weeks and they are lovely but I am not overly close to any of them so can't just call them up and have a chat or whatever.
Is anyone in the same boat as me? I love my kids but I crave adult attention/conversation. I feel really lonely. I go on the internet quite a bit during the day (I still spend time with my kids and clean the house too don't worry).
Hey :) I'm online a lot - very similar to you, a pretty quiet little world. I'm happy with my quiet little world, but always happy to have more online friends :) Do you use MSN? :)

Im in the same boat. Dont you worry. I get so sick of talking about bugs and dog poop (my DS's latest obsessions) I miss work so much simply because I saw other adults and got to talk to them. I think i pop on the internet about 10 times a day. Usually only for a few minutes but it keeps me sane

I crave some adult convo sometimes, my friends are busy lately with their own family issues and probs so I haven't been able to catch up with them. I chat to them on facebook and DP rings me up during the day.
I would love to add some people to facebook or msn.

I can add you to my facebook if you want? My msn seems to be dodgy atm.
I see adults every Saturday at tennis but at the moment, that's it apart from Hubby. Drives me mad!!!!!
I've just added someone to facebook.... Is it you?
lol

I know what you mean. There's a lot of hours in the week to fill when my DH is at work and it's just me and DS. I do see other mum's at mother's group, etc. but I still have hours where my world is pretty quiet. I've found that taking up swimming lessons so I can get a break from my DS has helped a bit. It's great to get that me time and meet new people. I'm also looking forward to going back to work a couple of days a week in a couple of months time.
Feel free to add me on FB. Just PM me.

I know exactly how you feel!!!!
My partner works long hours, alot of the time I go round to my Mum's so I do get a bit of adult conversation or if I speak to DP during the day but he is always so busy I probably speak to him no more than 3 mins during the day while he is at work. I meet up with my mummy friends every 1-2 weeks but like you said I spend alot of time on the net.
Feel free to add me to FB / MSN - tha_blondness@hotmail.com
I totally know how you feel. I find myself striking up conversations with strangers all the time :o Thankfully I'm starting to pick up a bit more work now so it's keeping me busy!
