how to go about opening a bank account for my son? I've been looking at the online accounts with ING and ERB but they say that the account holder must be 16 or over and hold an account with another bank. So I'm just wondering, to those of you who have accounts for your kids, did you just open another one in your name but you know it's for bub, or is the account actually in bubs name?

Most banks have kids accounts with no fees. Just go into your bank with their birth certificate.

I opened an account in my name, but for beneficiary of Jake. I can still access it though.
