I am so angry with the Australian Legal System. These egotistical A**holes are going to get away with degrading and completely disrepecting humans (not just Diane Brimble). It infuriates me that there are actually Australian men (any man - if thats what u can call them) out there like this. They should be castrated and thrown in prison for life. By the way they have and are continuing to act - they think they are above the law and any other human......
I know how you feel. It makes me so sad and mad the whole thing.
And it really embarrasses me everytime they say one of the "persons of interest" is from Adelaide!
As if Adelaide doesn't already have a bad rep in the rest of Aust as some sort of murder capital!

I agree, those men are pigs, who see women as only objects & always will, I hope they are put in jail for a very long time. It is a shame there are men out there like this, I am just glad that I dont know any like this & most the men I know are kind & respectful men.
I really feel for Diane Brimble's family, especially her children.

Its not even so much how bad the legal system is in this case but more the way the whole ordeal was handled.
The fact that the staff onboard allowed these things to happen on a regular basis as well as "cleaning" up all the evidence doesnt help.
There was also a case of an American newlywed husband going missing feared dead on a Caribbean cruise ship where the staff also hid & cleaned up any evidence.
So it seems to me that we need to change the whole cruise ship system.

I feel for her family and friends,
These men are pigs. It is so obvious they are all guilty of something, they all played a part in her death somehow, so i hope they all end up getting locked up.
The comments made about her are harsh and so degrading. :crying:
These men are filth i wish they would hurry up and send them prison.

Those 'persons of interest' in relation to the inquiry are, the worst that mankind has to offer. They are just a complete and utter waste of oxygen. I feel so sorry for Diane's entire family, knowing that she spent her last hours with the absolute dregs of society.
If my son turned out like that I would want to slit my wrists.

While I am disgusted at the mens attitude's and by their actions I do not believe the fault lays solely with the men involved.
I find it hard to believe that these men would openly offer drugs to numerous others then 'secretly dope' the woman who passd away.
Yes they are responsible for her death in the sense that they made no attempt to help her. However, that failure does not erase the responsibility one has for themselves and their actions when choosing to take drugs. (for the record, in this circumstance, any choice to take drugs does not erase the mens responsibility either)
But, painting the woman as 100% innocent will not lead to appropriate justice being served. lynching these men (no matter how monsterous their actions were) and laying the 'blame' solely at their feet will not help to inform people of such dangers, change the cruise ship mentality or highlight the real dangers of drug use in any way.
If we want to see some justice, If we want some lessons learned then lets see P&O and it's staff lynched along with them.
Lets see some balanced stories, showing the complete events leading to her death. There were many who refused the mens advances, who chose not to put themselves at risk, who are alive today. There are witnesses not covered by the media who offer evidence not in line with the story they WANT to run.
Instead of shrugging our shoulders and saying well, it can happen to anyone we have no control. Lets include the message that teaches women how to avoid these kinds of situations in the first place.

I can't even read newspaper reports about this anymore it makes me so angry
Those scum are just unbelievable - their attitude to women makes my blood run cold and it terrifies me that such pathetic excuses for "men" have to share the same planet as my daughter. They make me sick.
