i often feed my 21 month of DD off to sleep for her day sleep because I can, its easy, its a sure fire way to get her to sleep, and probably no other reason.
but once she seems asleep, she clamps down on my nipple and i can't get her off without major effort and pain, as soon as she realises what i'm doing, even though her eyes are still closed, the harder she clamps down, and sometimes i feel its just not worth the hassle.
I'm not particularly attached to breastfeeding so i could easily give it up, but before i do, i was wondering if someone could suggest some more gentle ways to get her off.
at the moment , i prise her mouth open with my finger and elbow grease. its not quite the peaceful happy picture you normally associate with breastfeeding.
