Are there any that are appropriate to do while breast feeding. I just called the peoples who do "slimmm" and aparently I cannot do that one while breast feeding because of whats in it passing through the breast milk.
Are there anything that anyone might know of that might be appropriate to do while feeding. Jasper is 14 months old, after I go to trecillian next week HOPEFULLY he'll have no more night feeds, but he'll still have a morning and evening feed, so I'm thinking it's not a bad time for me to diet - take advantage of the calories he's still sucking out of me, but while he's not dependant on my breast milk anymore.
Any thoughts?
I dont make good food choice, so I thought something incredibly straight forward like a meal replacement program would work - I could just will power my way through it!
Hi :)
I'd be checking out each brand of meal replacement shakes if you really want to try using them to lose weight (I was on the Betty Baxter plan and it was WONDERFUL). I'm not sure whether or not you can breastfeed while on any of the shakes but who knows? maybe you can?
Why not enquire to the following brands and see if it's safe (make sure you ask about the bars and soups as well as the shakes):
Tony Ferguson
Betty Baxter
Celebrity Slim
XNDO
The Biggest Loser brand
If they all turn out to be unsafe to use whilst breastfeeding, have you considered weight watchers? I'll be doing WW after I have my bubby, only because I've seen how well my mother is doing on the plan and she can literally eat whatever she wants. Plus she's got all the books/calculators/recipes so it'll just be a matter of buying the food.
Good luck:)
You can't do ANY of the shake diets whilst breastfeeding because of all the nasties that go through your breastmilk.
You could try weight watchers or buy the CSIRO total wellbeing diet books and follow their meal plans(which is what I am doing to watch my weight while pregnant as I am already 30kg overweight and I will keep going through breastfeeding also).

My dr said definite no no on shake diets. But she did say that I can modify the lite n easy diet, I had to pick i think it was the 1800cal one and add extras such as milk and cheese and more fruit but I didnt really see the point cause it really wasnt much better than my normal diet. I just waited until I stopped bf and then went on the tony ferguson, it was great.
Hi bel04 - If you don't mind me asking, how much is lite n easy roughly per week? I don't plan on doing it but always wondered how much it is.
I think the prices are on the website? I think it's around $200ish a week for brekky lunch and dinner.
 $200 a week?!?! Geeeeeez...wow. OK glad I never seriously considered doing lite n easy lol. Lipo would be cheaper in the long run
