MunchiesMummy

Hi fellow hubbers.
Just wondered if I could get some advise on where to go next with gentle and non pushy toilet training methods.
Basically from about 1 year on we bought DD a cheap potty - told her what it is and what its for etc. She has sat on it a couple times and knows what it is and has even done a poo in it (but it was a mere fluke haha).
ANYWAY the last 3 days she has been coming up to me right after doing a poo and says poo poo mummy and then claps her hands (because the first time she did this I made a big fuss called her clever and we clapped) :yelclap:
So after I acknowledge she is clever for telling me I then take her hand and walk her to the potty and say - good girl, soon you can tell me when you need to do poo poo and we can go on the potty. Then I take her and change her nappy saying what a big girl she is and so on and so forth.
Where do I go from here? Should I just continue this way until she is older or should I start giving her more "big girl pants" time (at home obviously) and just expect lots of accidents.
Or do you think she is too young?
Sorry for the rambling - any advise what so ever appreciated! :goodvibes:
