i had same problems with my son. basically it was just a waiting game. waiting for him to out grow it. he is now 4mths and pretty much has:smiliedance: .still hav some bad times, but rarely. enough rambling.
i tried many different formulas incl s26 ar (anti reflux), he didnt like that one. in the end we hav gone to nan as he did best on this (also hienz nuture was good, but nan was the last i trired and gav same results, so i just left him on that!) also i started feeding him with his bottle propped up, stopping about a third of the way through to burp and didnt touch him when he finished (i would wear it other wise:barf: ) it helped to keep most of the milk down. not tottally foolproof though.
now this might sound wierd but for colic i tried the usual... colic drops, gripe water etc. to no avail. anyway my sister's mthr in law told her to tell me that when her youngest was born he was bad with colic and her dr told her to give him 1 teaspoon (5mls) of black tea (cooled of course, i asked, how stupid was i? must hav still had placenta brain:laughing: ) she said she wished she knew about it with her first 2. i tried it one dy when he was just screaming and screaming and 5/10 mins later out like a light (and for a few hours too:smiliedance: ). sooooo now he has some every morning.
i think i'll go now this is really long. hope u find a happy ground for bub's tummy soon.

With the reflux is your baby vomiting a lot? Just keep a close eye on him and if you notice him getting worse or lossing weight get him reasessed by your Dr. There are medications that can help ease the pain of the reflux if things don't improve. A thickened formula helps some babys so you could try that and keeping your baby upright as much as posible during and after a feed. Also pro one end of his matress up a little so that he is not lieing flat.
Hope things start to improve its no fun having a baby who is crying all the time

Hi,

i too know what your going through, i was told my DD had colic at 2days old. From 11pm to 2am she would just scream in pain every night, same time, same cry.
pretty much there wasnt much we could do and eventually she grew out of it when she was about 8weeks old.
she would still cry alot and have the pains but after she was a month old we had her on infacol in her bottles which helped with the wind.
we would also do a belly massage on her each time she started to get uncomfortable and we could sense a cry coming on.

i guess you just have to keep trying different things and remember that he will grow out of it.
