Thing's that soothe your child/baby to sleep

I was laying in bed last night listening to the James Blunt album as it puts Dakota straight to sleep (as it would to most ppl) and it got me wondering what other ppl do to get thier children/child/baby to sleep in an instant.

Dakota is so funny.. she loves James Blunt and between every track when it stops for a few seconds she gets frustrated then the song comes on and she's asleep again. She also loves Mudvayne which i don't think many of you would know who they are.


So what is it you do to get your child/ren to sleep ? Do you rock them/sing a lullaby/put on a cd ?

I just usually rock DD, but im thinking I might try some form of music...

Ethan normally lays in my arms infront of pc...i have heaps of different stuff...but as you also were saying you love mandy...i put on my metal soundtracks...Freddy vs jason, resident evil, queen of the damned..
Or there might be night where its jack johnson or pink...maybe a mixed soft stuff.

Both DD's had/have the FP Ocean Wonders Aquarium, and both their favourites have been Brahms Lullaby. The ocean sounds etc don't do anything for them. I take it when we go away too, so as to guarantee they sleep wherever we go! :D

Claudias turning into a mummys girl....i just have to pick her up and she stops crying and snuggles...getting a bit ott now though....but its cute...she likes music too..but yeah her Dior pacifier works a treat;) as well

DS loves his aquarium!! lol, it puts me to sleep as I can hear the music through the baby monitor :D

my ds loves to cuddle up to me and hug my belly while watching tv and have a bottle then when he is too tired to stay awake he rolls over to sleep lol

I put James down to sleep awake with his musical mobile that has a little light,music and the dragonflies and butterflies spin....hehe must make him dizzy so he nods off.....
Oh and he has his dummy...
