Hello all, my 3month old is teething, i can even see the two little white teeth on the inside of his bottom jaw.... however he has suddenly become a screamer. Everyday from lunch time onwards. Screaming and screaming, I give him panadol every 4hours and he is still feeding well. I tried carrying him in a sling, rocking, feeding, etc etc and nothing works.... this afternoon I am sooo frustrated and pulling my freaking hair out. He will doze off to sleep when I pat him and then suddenly wake up and scream and I wait a while and return and pat him.... well I am fed up with this so I am just going to try and let him scream it out. I just dont know what else to do. This has been going on every single day for about a week. Hmmm might make doctors appointment :(
Def make an appointment for your baby to get his ears checked. He may be in pain and laying down makes it worse.
Give yourself a break - it's so hard when there is nothing you can do. Take a deep breath and step outside.
But then, once you've gathered yourself together, please think about going and getting him. I know it's so incredinbly, impossibly, horribly hard but he's tiny and he needs you.
One thing that used to really help me (both times) was bunging the baby in a pram and going for a long walk. If it was too hot, I'd go to a shopping centre and just walk along.
Usually soothes bubs to sleep.
Please know, I'm not judging you :hugs:

Oh you poor thing - firstly :hugs:
I dont really know if this is ok for a baby of your little ones age so maybe check with someone else (DD is 16 months and didnt teeth that early) but have your tried getting a wash cloth and pouring sterilised water over it then putting it in the fridge? Once it is cool pop it around one of your fingers and kind of let your bubby suck on it? The pressure of your fingers and the cool wash cloth might feel good on his teeth coming up?
I also agree to take him to doc just to put your mind at ease.
Do you have any friends or family that can come and give you a hand just so they can take bub while you go for a walk, or have a shower and a big cry to let it all out and feel a bit better?
I hope it improves soon. :hugs:

He is finally asleep, I feel so awful but there was nothing else today that worked.... until last week he was such a treasure, just drank played and then slept. I have made an appoinment for tomorrow with the doctors. I feel sooo sad for him, he must be in pain or overtired, but he does get put down for naps through out the day. I just dont know whats wrong. I hope the GP can shed some light on the matter. He also wont settle for daddy in the afternoon or evening which is odd as DH spends loads of time with him feeding/playing and putting him to bed. Something seems wrong here somewhere ??

Your welcome! :hugs:
Its good that you are trusting your mummy instincts and taking him to docs - if nothing else you will feel better even if the doc does say look he is just teething :ecomcity:
Its terrible when they are in pain. I remember when my DD got a horrible intestinal parasite from the pool - the WORST 3 weeks of my life, she would just scream and scream in my arms with pain until she screamed herself to sleep - then as soon as she woke up would scream again. :crying:
BUT there is always a light at the end of the tunnel - just repeat - this too shall pass :hugs:
Let us know how the docs goes.
Has anything changed recently? Introduced solids or changed milk?
The most common reason babies cry when they are laid down is ears so it's def worth checking out those little ears.
Babies who cry for reasons we can't understand and who cannot be comforted despite our best efforts = so bluddy stressful.
If it is teething, I have found Hyland's Teething relief to be the absolute saviour for us.
You're doing a great job :hugs: Please don't stress out.
