Hi there, was wondering if anyone could help. A long story, but after my DS was losing weight over Christmas, we were advised by the ped. to comp feed him, after I BF both sides for 20 minutes max. He is now doing very well, having put on 400 grams in the last week. I am still having to use nipple shields, having very sensitive skin (not because of an attachment problem. Currently he is having 80 mls of formula after each Bf, and is still waking every 3 -4 hrs for a feed. In an ideal world I would go back to exclusive BF but also don't want him losing weight again. Any advice on how to do this. How common is it to have to do both breast and bottle feeding to satisfy a babies needs.
