Im looking for a pizza base recipe that uses Mashed Potato in it... Back in high school I stayed at a friends place and her mum made a pizza with this kind of base and I havent been able to get my hands on a recipe...
Anyone who can help will be greatly appreciated :chef:

You've just reminded me. My Mum used to make a fantastic meat pie that had pastry made out of mashed potato - it was deliciious!
I'll see if I can get the recipe off her so if nothing else, you may be able to manipulate it with a bit of yeast etc.
Mmmmm I'm hungry now....:chef:

I have answered my own question
Potato Pizza Dough Recipe
You need:
250 grams boiled potatoes
¼ cup butter
1 cup self raising flour
½ tsp salt
Sift together the flour and salt
If the potatoes are warm (or hot), mash the potatoes well, till they become an even paste and add the butter, then leave to cool. Add this flour salt mixture to the boiled potatoes and mix well together to form a soft dough.
If the potatoes are cold, mash them well and leave aside. In the flour salt mixture, rub in the butter with fingertips to a breadcrumb consistency. Then stir this into the mashed potatoes to form a soft dough.
This base can be used for making pizzas immediately. If you do not need it right away, then cover with a cling film and chill for up to two hours.
Dont know if its the same recipe.. buts its a start

I do a potato based pizza for DS and DH & I eat it too.
I usually add a bit of cheese to the potato base mixture similar to your recipe. I put tined spagetti over the pre-cooked base and any of the following.....ham/ salami, diced fried onion and lots of cheese on top. Cook in oven again until cheese is melted and slice up and serve.

how does it taste compared to regular dough?

My DSS said that it tasted pretty much the same - cept its not as 'crisp' as regular dough and we ended up eating it with cutlery..
Try explaining the concept of cutlery and pizza to a nearly 3 year old
