Hi all,

At the beginning of this year I enrolled in a boot camp course that goes for 6 weeks ...

I know I'll be doing running and sit-ups etc ... is this harmful to bub?

I've just found out Im preg .. 5 weeks today :yelclap:

I am pretty fit and usually do about 100 sit-up and about 50 push-ups as well as running etc daily ... (not sure if that makes a difference?)

My course starts next week ... non refundable ..

Any ideas/advice??

Thanks

If it involves a lot of jarring movements, I wouldn't advise it, but seeing as you're already fit the situps etc would be fine.

The thing is.....your abdominal muscles are going to get stretched as all hell when you're really big and pregnant, so I'm not sure there's really much point worrying too much about it.

I was really fit when I got pregnant with DS, but as soon as I found out I stopped doing my "get fit to ski" classes and reverted to walking and swimming for exercise. You can focus on getting your abs into shape once you have your baby.

Congrats on your pregnancy :goodvibes:

I started bootcamp at 12 weeks pregnant and it went through until i was 19 weeks, as long as you let them know you are pregnant you should be fine especially since you were working out prior to falling.
In the end it is up to you but I found I had no issues with it harming my baby and am now at 32 weeks still working out all though not as intensly 3 times a week.
