I need a bit of advice...
My DF and I are getting married at the end of August (YAY!!!) and we have a 17 month old (very active) toddler... Its really important for us that he of course be there during the ceremony - but how do we keep him quiet and still????

I am looking into this as well. MY kids are 3.5 and 11 months when we get married and im worried about ow they will behave during the ceremony... especially seeing as the 3 yr old is being... a little treasure:rolleyes: atm.

We are also getting married at the end of august so it dosnt give me a lot of time to work it out. We want the eldest to be our ring bearer but i dont know how his is going to go with walking to us and then stopping.

Let me know if you get any good ideas.

Goodluck with everything... i hope your days goes well.

I don't know how helpful I can be, we didn't have any kids at our wedding (except a bun in the oven lol) but perhaps:
- to keep a child quiet who isn't part of the ceremony, a playpen off to the side with a few toys/books/colouring pencils and book? If you would like him sitting with the family, maybe a small toy or book (that doesn't make noise lol) would keep him occupied?
- maybe if the wedding is in a church take him to a couple of services before hand to 'practice'. My family all used to go to church every week when we all lived at home and to keep us kids from running riot we'd sit between two adults who would 'control' us - we soon learnt not to crawl over Granddad!
- where the child is part of the service (I think he will be gorgeous - don't worry Kristen!!) can you work it in that he walks with a junior bridesmaid or even one of the parents or someone? I'm not sure how your procession is going to be, but maybe he could walk up with your mum or someone. Maybe he will be happy to walk from mummy (before she goes up the aisle) to daddy (who's standing already with the minister)?
Anyway, I wish you both luck!!!
