My mum seems to think that Cameron (10months) has alot of wind. Sometimes as he's bf'ing, I can hear his it in his tummy, and sometimes (mainly during the nights) as he's bf'ing he'll fart for about a minute or two.

I've read through some of the posts in this section as well as colic info sheets/articles, and C doesn't seem to be showing any of the 'usual' colicky/wind upsets. He doesn't seem to cry for extended periods for no reason. He does wake at nights crying and when I'm trying to resettle him, he'll throw his upper body back and around but it's it seems like it's more as though he's trying get away from me (??). This doesn't happen alot, and he resettles after about 15-20minutes. If he hears my dad's voice (he just LOVES my dad) he'll stop crying just like that. But then he'll start up again from wanting to go outside.... but that's a different issue altogether.

Anyway, so I went out to get a bottle of Brauer's Colic Relief since there has been some recommendations here. I have some questions which I'm hoping someone can answer...

In my situation how do I know if it's working?
The instructions say every four hours.... for how long do I give it him?
How long before I can see results?

Thanks in advance!

I used it for ds1 and you should see it working straight away. You just give it to them every 4 hours but don't exceed the amount you give in 24 hours. It should say on the box. But imo it doesn't sound like he has colic, but see what others say.

I experienced pretty immediate relief also. I found I had to give it every half hour to begin with and then cut back to 4 hourly. My son's wind is so bad that he doesn't always have total relief but when I run out of Brauers I can sure tell that he is worse.

I love this stuff - we usually see an immeadiate response. Doesn't sound like your bubs necessarily has colic to me either - what he's doing sounds like normal baby behaviour.

We used it a couple of times an found easy relief but stopped because E's pupils would dialate hugely and he would go hyper (very scary in a 6 week old!). maybe just a reaction in him but I have read of other mums experiencing the same thing on this site.
