I am trying to re-introduced the bottle to Cameron (10 mths) because he's broken two sippy cup spouts from dropping them onto the floor and banging them against things. I cannot buy just the lids so I've had to buy the whole set again and seeing as though it costs $10 a pop, I just thought I'd wait until he's able to drink from the second-stage lid before I give the cup back to him.
So in the meantime, I'm giving him water from a bottle. He does drink from it and he's constantly wanting to hold it himself which is fine, but he doesn't know to hold it UP so that the water flows into the teat. ATM he just holds it upright at a slight angle so that all he's sucking in is air. As such, I'm worried about all the air he's swallowing and giving him wind.
Does anyone know if it's possible to teach bubs to hold the bottle up? :detective:
He never held his sippy cup up either and I use to put my finger on the bottom of the cup (and now bottle) to tilt it up as he's drinking.
