Sewing microfibre inserts for pockets

Hi there,
Does anyone have any experience with sewing these? I was wondering how many layers is recommended and can you over do it with the layers? I was thinking three? I am looking forward to having inserts that fit perfectly into my nappies.:D

My Mother of Eden ones are three layers and I'm happy with that. Not too bulky but enough for day times at home.
