Low blood pressure!?

over the past 2 weeks i've had bad head aches, dizziness and fainting. My doctor told me i have really low blood pressure and that i need to rest.

I've heard stories about pregnancy and high blood pressure but not low. Has anyone experienced low blood pressure whilst pregnant?

apparently it's not unusual.
i had quite low blood pressure for the first 4-5 months of my pregnancy and felt dizzy all the time (headaches etc too).

by the third trimester though it had returned to normal, so i think it's ok, and not a problem unless it persists until the end. then i would be asking more questions in that case.

Tip: it's a good excuse to have to sit or lie down (or have a coffee, which is what one of my midwives advised!!!)

I have always had low bp and when i was pregnant it dropped more. So much so that when they checked it and it was "normal" for everyone else in my third trimester, they considered that to be high :rolleyes:
