Mainly for dinners.
Anything you can offer would be awesome, though if you're tossing up over a few to post and one is a seafood one, choose another. :p Love seafood but DP doesn't... so while I'll be cooking seafood for DD and I occasionally, it'd make my life easier to just cook ONE meal. (Stupid fussy DP...lol).
So yes, anything that can help - low fat only please. I can't eat anything else at the moment...
Tandoori Chicken Salad.
Cut chicken into strips then get a low fat tandoori paste and marinade chicken for a few hours - you don't have to marinade for long but I like it better.
Cook chicken on medium for 5-10 minutes (I cook it on the George Foreman Grill but a fry pan or wok is fine)
I make a mint sauce with natural yoghurt, squeeze of lemon juice, finely chopped mint and coriander leaves. Just mix it all together and set aside.
Get an exotic salad mix or some hydrompoinc lettuce, snow peas, celery, red onion(sliced thinly), finlely grated carrot and mix together.
I then put the salad on the plate, top it with dressing and chicken.
My meat and vege men love it:thumbsup:

Thanks for that - I might just use that recipe! It looks like something DP might actually eat (so you've pretty much pulled off a miracle there... lol).
As for taste... it's my fave food website, I have a LOT of cookbooks and a stack of SFI magazines too... but alas, because of how picky DP is, choosing meals is pretty hard (plus the taste "low fat" foods are just low in saturated fat, not fat overall... which is kinda what I need).
Thanks though! :)

LOL DH is fussy too so when I get a low fat recipe we can both eat I'm pretty happy too.
Have a look for the Woman's Weekly 21 Day wonder Diet. I bought it from Big W for about $10-15 can't quite remember but I've used it loads of times. The recipes are low in all fats which is good for you. I never followed the actual diet but it's great because it has a shopping list for all the foods and other tips. It's got 21 breakfasts, 21 lunches - which can be dinners too, 21 dinners and snack ideas. I've used it millions of times.
Also low GI cook books are quite good, a lot of low GI cookbooks have lots of vegetarian and vegan recipes which doesn't bother me but DH isn't a massive fan.
Also you can make a lot of recipes you already make lean. So instead of rump or t bone chose a low fat cut or meat or kangaroo. Instead of cheese sauce on your vegies a squeeze of lemon and garlic is really yummy.
Will he eat stir fry? DH hates stir fry so I rarely make them but there is some great low fat recipes.

Yeah, he'll eat stir-fries... BUT... it's one of the very few things DD won't eat!
I'm so unlucky!
I'm thinking some days I'll just end up doing fish dishes, and giving DP a piece of chicken in place of his fish. Shouldn't be too much hard work in that really, but a bit of a PITA I suppose.
I'm already searching out lean meats, and have a butcher that does very lean mince, which is awesome...

Have you seen the "Symply To Good To Be True" books in the newagents? There are 5 all together for about $13 each and they are low fat/lower fat versions of homestyle food. http://www.symplytoogood.com.au

Chicken is pretty low fat Sassy. Just stick to the breast and trim off any visible white parts before cooking though there shouldn't be any. :)
My GP put me on a diet once where I could only have 20g of fat a day (total). Some of my fave things were
1. burritos made with heart smart mince or turkey mince, and use mountain bread instead of tortillas. Good one if your DH likes burritos as you can make the same base ingredients and you just have the low fat bread
2. Turkey mince with veggies and sweet chili sauce. Just cook it all up on the stove top, add in whatever you want. Doesn't look pretty but it tastes delicious. Serve with mashed potato for your DH and DD.
3. Sushi. Teriyaki chicken (marinate chicken in teriyaki sauce then cook in a wok) with fresh salad veggies
4. Egg white omelette. You can make full fat version for DH and DD. No cheese in yours though I'm afraid but use lots of onion, garlic and fresh herbs and it will taste divine
5. Warm salads are good. Try fresh beetroot and sweet potato, or chargrilled vegetable (asparagus, zucchini, pumpkin, eggplant etc). We cook the veg on the bbq and baste with lemon juice, oregano and garlic to keep it moist.
being pulled away from the comp by a cranky DS so that's all for now but might come back later if I can xx

I second the Symply Too Good books - they're great, plust a lot of them are 6-8 servings, so you can keep leftovers for the next night and not have to cook! :)

Thanks guys.
I've got all 5 of the Symply cookbooks... and am looking forward to using them, but a lot of the foods are not DP-friendly..
I was mainly asking in hopes that someone had some suggestions that I hadn't already found... lol.
Stupid DP and his fussy ways!
The turkey mince thing sounds like a good idea - I forgot all about turkey.
Thanks everyone...
