Separation anxiety starting at 2

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem - my daughter has been in the same daycare centre since she was 4 months old and has been really happy... until last week when she started telling us she doesn't want to go and crying and throwing a right tantrum when we leave her there.

It is horrible seeing her so upset and nothing has changed at the centre so I can only assume it is just a new stage.

Does anyone have any ideas on how best to help her through this and make it easier for us all?

maybe it might just be a 'phase'. my dd did this about a month ago it only lasted less than 2 weeks. hopefully urs will be the same :)
