Hi:gloomy:

I am only in the early stages of my second preg. and have been feeling sick (flu, migraines, ear aches etc) for almost two weeks.......................normal right for a women whose pg i know!

BUT I am feeling so drained, i dont have any energy at all and am constantly fighting an up hill battle just to get out of bed in the morning!

I work three days a week (not that i have put in a full three days over the last three weeks, as ive been off sick) BUT i just have NO energy at all, not even enough to log in here and chat...............which is saying something!

On my days off I have no energy even to take my son to the park which is just across the road.

I cant concentrate on anything, i struggle to entertain my 2yr old, i feel like a big lump of dough lol and its driving me crazy!!!

Im also getting depressed coz i dont want to feel like this anymore, im worried that it will just get worse!

Ok now for what i need help with-

Any one know of any natural stuff/remedies to help give me some energy?

I should ask my natropath as im sure she would know of something BUT shes $ and we cant afford her at the moment(not with me taking sickies everyweek, as i have no more sick leave!!!)

Anyone know if Berroca is ok to take while pg? another Q i should ask my doctor

anyway thanks for listening to my rant....................

hopefully i will get a pity post or two, i could use the distraction:o

Pity post coming your way! And a few of these too! :hugs: :hugs:

I hated my first trimester.. that was worse than the labour I think! I was similiar to you -- feeling like a big lump of dough. I could sleep, sleep and sleep. I'd struggle to wake up and go to work.. and I'd come home, eat tea and crawl into bed by 7pm.

I worked at a call centre then, and remember almost falling asleep on the phone on so many occassions. I couldn't even open my eyes sometimes.. and if I just rested.. just for a second.. I could nod off..

And no-one understands how bad it is. You say you're tired and they raise their eyebrows. But this is more than just tired.. you're exhausted.

:ecomcity: I cannot imagine what life is like for you with another bub to run around after.. as DS was my first and only I didn't have to worry about that and do not look forward to it possibly happening in the future..

I cannot suggest any natural remedies etc for energy, clarity etc as I think I was too buggered to arrange a doc appt to ask her!

Hope it all gets better soon. If I remember correctly, the sun came back up for me again at about 14 weeks.

xoxo

Oh nemosmum, I had the same problems. I was so exhausted! I could hardly raise my arms to wipe my nose!

It made driving 3hrs a day to and from work extremely exhausting. In fact I would say the first 12 weeks were the hardest for working. Although I am now off and can rest when I want to, I don't need it as much as I did then.

I was taking naps on the loo at work! Just couldn't keep my eyes open, how embarassing too... hehe

:hugs::hugs: Hugs for you, it will get better I promise

I was exactly the same I have a 3 year old who was always saying to me play with me do something with me etc I was sooo exhausted in the first 12 weeks and now I am roughly 13 14 weeks and nearly back to normal my energy has come back I am not so tired as before... I mean I am still tired but not as bad as falling asleep anywhere.. or not doing anything just wearing jammies all day... lucky me my 3 year old can dress herself so I was able to tell her to get clothes from cupboard etc... only exhausted when making lunch or food in between was so glad when my partner came home so I could relax...

Now I am so much better just tired at the end of the day... it will get better!! hugs for you :hugs:

Oh boy, did I struggle earlier on..... definitely know that feeling.

If you haven't tried Vitamin B6 give them a go. I think I would have been in bed most of the day and night if I hadn't started taking these to help me with exhaustion and morning sickness. They definitely done wonders with my energy levels and slightly helped with morning sickness.

Take care :hugs:

Big :hugs: for you NM!!
I know its not what you want to hear, but honestly you will feel heaps better in the 2nd trimester - it will all just magically disappear - i promise!!
Bub is taking it all out of you doing all the major cell forming and growing, only natural thing i can think of that you can take is pg vitamins, like Blackmores pg formula or Elevit.
Sleep when O sleeps, don't worry about cooking, cleaning for another 5 weeks :D
Take him to an indoor playcentre so he can run himself ragged and you can just sit and watch.
Or try and get friends/family to take him for a couple of hours here and there just for the next 5 weeks....... when we get back, I'd be happy to come and get him to play with the boys for a little while.
Take care - thinking of you
