So it turns out he's just like his mummy!! :(
I am very short sighted and have worn glasses since I was 18 months old.

I noticed a while back that CJ was looking up really close at things like books & the T.V, but I didn't think too much of it as I thought he could see other things pretty well. Any way heaps of people have asked me if I have had his eyes tested coz of how closely he was looking at stuff, so I thought I should.

As it turns out, yep  He's very short sighted aswell. I have been given a referal to see a children's eye specialist to see just how bad it is & what prescription specs he will need. Poor Connor. I really hoped that none of my kiddies would have to go through it like me. I spose at least glasses fix it & there are worst things in life. But still annoying!!

Now begins the fun for me.... my mum told me that when I got them I used to hide them all the time or rip them off & throw them or bend the arms back.....

I hope CJ takes to them better than I did, otherwise it will cost us a small fortune in replacements all the time!! :o

Oh Poor Cj !
My mum is really short sighted also and she was always worried that one (or more) of her kids would be the same but we all managed to avoid it

I have to say though he is going to look so adorable with glasses :D

Thinking of you Beck and Cj ..
Hope the appointment goes well and Cj takes to his glasses quickly and easily
:hugs:

awww he will be cute :)

my ds1 is 15 months and he stares at books close but not overly close to make you wonder if he needs glasses and he does the same with watching tv. he sits about 30cm-1 metre away but often is right up at the screen so close he can touch it.should he be tested?i didnt think they tested kids eyes till they were school or kinder age lol

Yeah they can test them really early. I started to wear glasses when I was 18 months old.

They put special drops in their eyes which fully dilate the pupil so they can measure them properly. Makes the eyes really sensative to light for a few days though. So I will have to get Connor some sunnies before the appoint.

I tried some specs on him the other day. He did look really cute. A lot older though!! :o
