HI
I am buying my DD her first bed soon for her 3rd birthday. Harvey Norman currently have doonas on sale but I'm not sure what type to get.
Should I get a winter weight and summer weight or just an all in one? Does it really matter? I think we have an all in one, I guess by then she will know how to throw the cover on and off :)
Any suggestions??

Id be inclined to go an all in one.

DD has a winter weight one, a summer weight one, and a bedspread.
At first though, she just a Summer weight one and a bedspread... the Summer one was used all year round, and I just put blankets underneath it in Winter (so she'd have like, a sheet, 2 blankets and hte doona).

We used the cot set he already had and than bought a bedding when he got his first big (single) bed. When he got the single bed- I bought a comforter and will just put a blanket on in winter.

we just have a summer one and add to it over winter - she wore an all-in-one style sleeping bag last winter

We just bought DD her 1st quilt for her move after bubs is born.
Got her a summer weight. It can take awhile for them to learn to sleep underneath it all night so for a while her clothing with be matched with the weather.
Also Spotlight are having 40-50% off quilts and bedding at the moment.
