I have been advised/recommended by my grandmother and a girl at mothers group to give my windy little girl camomile tea after a feed...we have made some up and I have tried giving her a little in a syringe after her feed and boy does she choke!! and spew! I wondered whether at 4 weeks maybe she just to young...it does help the wind ultimately but pretty distressing for first couple of minutes...anyone else tried this natural remedy??

I used to offer a spoonful or two to my DD when she was small-probably about 2-3 months-to help her with wind. it seemed to work. Just make sure you get a good quality tea, not tea bags as they are fairly useless.:)

 There are also colic drops containing chamomile and other soothing herbs that I use put out by Brauer. You can find them in some chemists or health food shops. My lo is 4 months and still suffers we find going to the chiropractor also helps believe it or not. Good luck and if you want to chat more I'd be happy to. I've spent the last four months obsessed with relieving wind!!!

As a mother of 3 under 4 I found that camomile tea
was wonderful with my second baby,as i was nursing (I used to drink a very strong cup in the evening,)This would not only settle his wind but he would be less tense and sleep well.
With babie number 3 she would not settle as easy so i would use gaviscon as well (as young as six weeks) and this worked a treat...
Keep in mind no baby should be in any kind of pain and at 4 weeks colic was so bad with my daughter i gave her a small dose of panandol mixed with boiled water (in a bottle)To make it more concentrate and she got instant relief slept for few hrs.
I did this once after hours of screaming in pain, which ripped my heart out and thank god never had to do it again....:yelclap:

I also use the Brauer Colic Relief and have found it very helpful.
