Avent Electric Steam Steriliser

Hi all,

Can anyone out there give me advice on how to use the Avent electric steam steriliser 042e? I bought one off e-bay recently but it didn't have the box or instructions, so I don't know how to use it! Such as how much water to put in it etc.... Thanks

I'll have to go dig out the box tomorrow to check the instructions properly but I think it was 90ml

There should be a little raised rim around the middle bottom of the sterilzer. Its a fill line. Thats if it is the same model I am talking about, have no idea what one it is.

yep there should be a fill line inside. otherwise if you're still stuck i'm pretty sure you can download instructions from the Avent website.

Hi surfingmum,

For the 3 minute cycle (no.1) you need 90mls of water and for the 6 minute cycle (no.2) you need 200mls.

Cycle one keeps the bottles sterile for 6 hours ( i think) & cycle 2 keeps them sterile for 24 hours.

Make sure you leave the steriliser to sit with the lid on for 3 minutes once cycle is finished or you will get burnt.
