Does anyone "clean" the crinone out.....My nurse just told me it was okay to clean it out with my finger! :barf: But....not sure..............

Waiting - the nurse told me the same thing when I used it but I developed a reaction to the stuff so I had to change to pessaries anyway. Apparently it's normal over time for crinone to build up and sometimes it needs to be manually removed. Not the most attractive stuff is it! I think from memory she said to clean it out in the shower.

I change to pesseries tomorrow!!! :rolleyes: Another type of discharge!!! YAY! :laughing:

Waiting - yep I had to do it, otherwise the build up will get that much you will feel it there anyway...not a very pleasant thing to have to do...oh they joys of IVF! You will find the pessaries have a discharge thats not clumpy but clear with just a 'leak' so wear panty liners and I had to change mine often, as it can make your undies stiff :yes:

Ok here is a nice TMI response for you:

Yep the build up if left uncleared gets to a point where you can feel it there and you HAVE to remove it yourself! I did it in the shower and its so gross, crinone is white but the build up is black eeeewwwww!!!! And OMG there is SO MCUH of it!!!

Oh and the pessaries feel like candle wax leaking out all the time, doesnt just wash off in the shower, it hangs around, LOL. Charming stuff!

unfortunately noone told me it needed to be cleaned out and I remember quite clearly going to the toilet and a whole "clump" dropping out (sorry TMI). Naturally I freaked and rang my fs convinced I'd just miscarried. No blood but little things like that don't happen to occur to women on IVF drugs......He was very reassuring and then asked if I'd kept the "clump" as he'd never seen it before only heard about it.

Ains they made me use it for 12 weeks:eek:....so panty liners became my best friends.:yes:

Helen i use light flow libra pads.........they stick better to my undies! DH wants to buy shares in them!!!!!!!!!! :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

I have to use them till i am 12 weeks as well!!!!!! I am 5 weeks and 2 days, not long to go!!!!! :D

Yep sure did. However another poster said it was black. I didnt have that.

If you do it daily the build up isnt so bad.

I used crinone and pess for 13 weeks. I understand your pain. However Im still blissed out about being pregnant and would do it all and more.
