I have an 11 week old bub who is breastfed, I supplement one formula feed a day, she has plenty of wind which is very smelly & it has been a good week since she has done a poo.
I am thinking the formula is causing this as before I started the supplement feeding she would go a couple of times a day.
I am thinking of getting some coloxal drops to help her go, just wondered if anyone has any advice on what to do or if I should just wait.

ozzy went ten days without a poo at this age and i'd also introduced a complimentary formula feed around the same time - he already had stinky wind though! I just waited and he came good with no problems. If you are really concerned you can water down the FF or give your bub a little cool boiled water or diluted prune juice (*warning - may cause explosions!*) to help move things along. even when ozzy was exclusively breastfed he'd sometimes poo four times a day and sometimes not for a week or more - i know it's so very hard not to stress but as long as bubs appears healthy in all other ways and is weeing normally i wouldn't get too worried :)
I found if I ate prunes or pears, or drank prune or pear juice myself, DS got it through my milk and it helped him go.
A little bit of water might help too. As well as gently massaging her belly and lower back, in clockwise circles. If she's constipated her belly (below navel) will feel hard.

My ex nurse grandmother told me to give a couple of teaspoons of brown sugar in some boiled and cooled water. I thought she was stupid but tried it and low and behold wouldn't ya know it worked when coloxal drops didnt. and was much cheaper but must be brown sugar
