Hi Ladies!
I did a HPT on Wednesday and got a :bfp: (First Response). DId another one the next day (Crystal Clear) to make sure. Thought I'd use a different brand just in case. Anyway, te first Crystal Clear was on Thursday and te second line was really dark. DId the other Crystal Clear just now (I haven't gota blood test until Tuesday so I keep freaking out that its not really happening). The second line this time is not as dark as it was on the first test......
Am I reading too much into it??

As long as you can see a 2nd line it is a positive, with each pregnancy I took numerous tests  and the darkness of the lines varied, some were darker and others were lighter. You are probably just a bit nervous dont worry....I was each time! Good luck!!

If you have just done it tonight then that is likely why. Your urine wouldnt be as concentrated now as the first morning one is therefore containing a lower concentration of Hcg.
Congrats on your pregnancy.

Thanks ladies!!
I feel better now. Just trying to make my nerves last until Tuesday when I go for a BT and hopefully the HCG levels are high

I had a similar thing happen with first response tests. I got a feint BFP which got darker over the next few days...then lighter and lighter, then it disappeared. But my symptoms also disappeared. Mine was a chemical pregnancy though, thats why it got lighter instead of darker.
The concentration of your pee varies during the day with the amount of fluids you drink so my advice is to stop testing and wait until the blood test which will test the accurate levels of your HCG.

Oleander - whats a chemical pregnancy?
Its where the making of the baby is there, but doesn't stick and the only reason we find out we are pregnant is cause we test early. If we didn't test early AF would come on time and we'd be non the wiser.
Something to that affect I think. Its hard to explain.

Its when the egg gets fertilised but dosent properly implant into the uterus lining, or implants but thees a chromosomal abnormality so because it was something but didnt grow its a chemical. I think.... better description above post.
Im not saying this is whats happened to you at all but just not to trust HPT's as the variation of the colour of the lines could mean anything. The blood test is the most accurate because it reads exact levels of HCG in your blood whereas pee and pink lines on a stick are a lot less accurate.
Just wanted to add. I got a ridiculously feint BFP with my pregnancy with DD. It wasnt much darker the next day and still feint. Shes a healthy baby and all was fine. I just think the sticks show a line and you cant tell anyting from whether its dark or light. Mine (with my chemical) was there then gone a few days later. Your line is still there so I wouldnt be concerned at all.

whats a chemical pregnancy?
A chemical pregnancy is when an embryo has started to implant but for a variety of reasons, does not continue to implant and grow. Chromosonal abnormality can be one reason but this doesn't always stop an embryo implanting. Another reason for a chemical pregnancy can be high levels of natural killer cells in the uterine lining which attacks the embryo as it tries to implant.
